DECAPOLIS - MY SON PANCAKE

Christian Punk?! No it's not some crazy gospel/guitar cross breed! Welcome to Decapolis. My Son Pancake is a rather plucky follow up to the band's debut recording titled Rebel? It shows how the band moved on well from the exit of guitarist Phil Honour, a change for the best it seems. This is all the more evident on the track titled Not Ashamed where usual songwriter, drummer/singer Dan Powell, hands over his pen to Honour for a final Decapolis outing. Over all a steady punkish offering. Be sure to check out a guest appearence on New Song by Eleesha, age 4!

DAYTONNE - SOPHO CLEAN

Sheffield based Daytonne can be proud of this effort, following on from last years self titled demo. The whole presentation and effort put into this is just what the band needed to take the step from 'Daytonne' to 'Sopho Clean.' The single is evocative of an almost surreal moment in time with tracks such as 'Last Month's TV' and 'Soundtrack To An 80's Sitcom' which are easily the best tracks. The oozing vocals and inventive guitar sound good and careful, clever drumming enhances the over all feel. A good effort.
